I am a PhD Candidate in political science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
My research explores the relationship between transitional justice and economic development in post-conflict countries. In my dissertation, I explain whether and how transitional justice mechanisms such as trials, truth commissions, reparations, and institutional reforms impact post-conflict economic development. I explore questions related to this topic using mostly quantitative and qualitative methods.
Before NTNU, I received a MA in International Relations and Regional Studies (specialization in Russia and Eurasia Studies) from University of Tartu, Estonia and I received a BA in Economics from Bilkent University, Turkey.
